Farming

Our 2,000 acre farm, located in Semora, North Carolina, produces approximately 500 acres of flued-cured and burley tobacco.

Storing

Our storage facilities are secured, clean and conveniently located to the ports of Norfolk, Virginia and Richmond, Virginia. We offer class 2 public bonded warehousing services, computerized inventory control services, custom designed audit services and coordinated fumigation services. We receive, store and ship tobacco according to our customers’ specifications. Each storage facility has fenced-enclosed perimeters, is monitored by licensed security professionals during non-operating hours and has a professionally maintained and monitored modern dry-piped fire suppression system. We have 882,200 square feet of storage capacity.

Shipping

We prepare, receive and ship products according to each customer’s request and specifications. Furthermore, given our established relationships with leading steamship lines, cargo carriers, customs offices and port agents and our vast experience in preparing, managing, coordinating and complying with import, export and custom clearing requirements, we make shipping internationally less burdensome.

Grower Selection and Contracting

Through JEB’s key relationships with growers and grower associations, we recommend to each customer growers who practice good agricultural practices and are capable of producing the volumes of tobacco according to each customer’s strict specifications.

Receiving Station Services

We have designed our facilities to our customers’ specific tobacco purchasing and receiving specifications. In addition, we offer re-bailing services, NTRM verification services, bale weighing services and moisture content verification services.

Grading and Processing Service

JEB has talented and experienced buyers/graders who assist customers in buying tobacco. JEB’s buyers/graders perform their duties in strict compliance with customer’s standards. Under third party processing arrangements, JEB has talented and experienced processing supervisors who ensure a customer’s tobacco is processed and packed according to the customer’s specification.
